Laura Muttini, RPh, MBA, CHCP is Founder and Principal at Educational Health Strategies (EHS), LLC. EHS provides strategic consulting
services to the global healthcare education industry for interdisciplinary medical and patient education initiatives.
Laura is an accomplished health care leader with the ability to draw from her 30 years of experiences in pharmacy practice, business, medical
and patient education, compliance and the pharmaceutical industry to provide unique ideas, perspectives, best practices and solutions for
today's issues and challenges in global healthcare education. During her career, Laura has worked for respected pharmaceutical companies such as AbbVie, Abbott, and TAP working in Grants, Medical Affairs and Marketing Departments; pharmacy benefit management companies including Caremark and PCS providing Clinical Academic Detailing services; and healthcare companies like Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in the Outpatient Pharmacy Department. Laura has also taught at several colleges instructing pharmacy, nursing and pharmacy technician students.
From concept and development to implementation and optimization, Laura has been successful in launching new business units as well as new business ideas. She works well in communicative, collaborative and entrepreneurial environments and believes that strong relationship building is a key factor for business success. Laura has led and managed strategic and tactical plan development; budgets, operations and people; communications and training. And, while business aspects are typically the focus of activity, whether in her direct role as a patient or healthcare professional educator, or her indirect role as a supporter of education, Laura has never lost sight of the altruistic reason behind the business........improving patients' lives by improving their healthcare outcomes.
Laura is honored to have been appointed to and served on several industry teams, including PhRMA's ACCME Call for Comments Working Group, NAAMECC's Code of Conduct Task Force, informal groups working with PhRMA and ACCME in response to the Sunshine Act, as a charter member of i-PACME (International Pharmaceutical Alliance for CME) group, and as the current Chair of the Patient Engagement Special Interest Group of GAME. In her work at pharmaceutical companies, she had led and served on multiple cross functional teams responsible for evolving the role and function of the grant department, and implementing transparency reporting, state reporting and CIA requirements. Laura has also been an invited speaker and panelist at numerous healthcare education industry meetings. She is a member of ACEHP (Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions), GAME (Global Alliance for Medical Education) and SPM (Society for Participatory Medicine).
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of IL, a Master of Business Administration degree (with a specialization in marketing) from Keller Graduate School of Management, and is a Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP).
